Abstract

ABSTRACT To avoid installation dispersion and improve the data transmission efficiency of the submarine oil and gas production system, the concept of function module with a vertical layout is presented. Meanwhile, the wireless sensor network is introduced to monitor the function module. For a high-efficiency wireless sensor network, the node deployment method is crucial and essential. In this paper, the model of the region to be monitored is established, and an improved isosceles triangle node deployment method is proposed based on the traditional disk perception model of the sensor node. The coverage density and coverage efficiency of the single and double coverage of this improved method are also calculated. By comparing the coverage performance of the traditional method (TM) and the improved method (IM), the results show that the single and double coverage density of the IM are both smaller. The introduction of the IM decreases the cost of the perception coverage of the side of the function module and establishes a foundation of the remote monitoring of the function module.
