Abstract

As an effective passive decoy against radar detection, the special geometric structure of the corner reflector makes the incident wave reflect many times on it, so it has a large radar cross section. By placing corner reflectors on the target ship, the radar cross section of it can be effectively adjusted and controlled, which can play an important role in the electromagnetic countermeasure defense. In this paper, the scattering center synthesis algorithm and electromagnetic scattering calculation method are used to study the number and placement of angular inverse array elements in the best fitting method for target ship. The results show that the optimal fit is 87.79% when the incidence angle is 0°, the number of corresponding corner reflector array elements is 9, and the spacing is 1 m; when the incidence residual angle is 45°, the best fitting degree is 85.81%, the number of corresponding corner reflector array units is 7, and the spacing is 2m.
