Abstract

Berths, quay cranes and container trucks are three kinds of facilities that determine the operation efficiency of container terminals. This paper aims at the working relationship and characteristics of these three facilities, and carries out systematic optimization. First, by considering the coefficient of berth migration, a cooperative nonlinear mixed integer programming model is built. Then, a two-phase algorithm based on multiple population genetic algorithm is designed to solve the model. Finally, through the specific example analysis and solution, an optimal cooperative scheduling scheme is obtained, which verifies the feasibility of the model in this paper and could save the whole operating time.
