Abstract

In order to solve the serious problems in backbone network, such as high construction and operation cost, waste of resources and poor scalability, this paper proposes a model of IP network and optical transmission network convergence and proposes a centralized control technology based on SDN. In this paper, overlay model and peer model are described based on the requirements and key points of convergence between IP network and optical transmission network. By analyzing the characteristics of the two models, this paper proposes a cooperative control technology based on SDN, which realizes centralized control of electrical equipment and optical transmission equipment, and realizes uniform resource scheduling of heterogeneous networks.
