Abstract

In order to improve the power supply capacity of electric heavy trucks, reduce battery capacity and costs, the catenary power supply system of electric truck was proposed. The load parameters were calculated; the intermediate single-point power supply system was designed and simulated; the influence of power supply mode, contact line diameter and rectifier substation voltage on power supply capacity were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the power supply capacity and line loss of the intermediate single-point power supply system were better than the single-ended power supply system; increasing the wire diameter or increasing the voltage of the rectifier substation could effectively reduce the line loss, improve the system efficiency and the power supply capacity; when the pantograph voltage was equal to the battery voltage, the output power of rectifier substation would be limited and then the battery needed to provide electrical energy. The research was of great significance to the application and promotion of electric heavy truck.
