Abstract

Aiming at the problem that the interferometric fiber optic gyroscope(IFOG) error coefficients such as scale factor, installation error are not stable in the calibration of strapdown inertial navigation system(SINS) caused by the turntable's velocity error, a new calibration method based on the turntable's angle increment experiment is proposed in this paper. Considering the turntable's high position accuracy, the new method can eliminate the effect on the calibration parameters of IFOG caused by the turntable's velocity error theoretically. Design the rational experiment project, then the error parameters of IFOG, such as scale factor, installation error, can be calculated, according to the error model of the IFOG. The principle of the proposed calibration is validated by the real strapdown inertial navigation system, navigation experiments using the calibration results, the experiment results show that the position accuracy using the proposed method is higher than the traditional method.
