Abstract

With the rapid development of high-speed railway, Motor train unit (EMU) has become an important research hotspot. How to improve the reliability of EMU power supply, while reducing energy consumption, protecting the environment, become the future direction of development. Therefore, this paper proposes the idea of installing solar cells in the EMU roof to utilize PV power to supply its auxiliary system. Taking China Railway High-speed 2 (CRH2) EMU as an example, according to the characteristics of roof and auxiliary power supply system, the feasibility of roof photovoltaic generation is analyzed. At the same time, the scheme of photovoltaic generation supplying power to the auxiliary system is put forward, the structure of the PV system and control strategy of grid connection are given. Matlab/Simulink software is used to simulate the photovoltaic generation system combined with the original auxiliary power supply system to supply power based on deadbeat control, and by changing the light intensity and load to test the reliability of the power supply system and the correctness of the control method. Finally, by comparing the photovoltaic system and the traditional power supply plan, the many advantages of EMU to introduce the photovoltaic generation system are analyzed, and gets the conclusion that it is of great significance in practical application.
