Abstract

Glass insulators are prone to condensation in the environment of large temperature difference and high humidity, which seriously damage their insulation performance. By plasma technology, in this paper, the surface of glass insulator material is modified. Firstly, the existing needle tubing preparation method of plasma super-hydrophobic film is introduced. Secondly, the changing situations in static water contact angle, rolling angle and dynamic behavior of glass insulator before and after modification are compared. Finally, the aging test is conducted on the plasma film and the test on the influence of temperature change on water contact angle and rolling angle is conducted. The test results show that the water contact angle, rolling angle and anti-condensation ability of the glass insulator are improved, and the film is less affected by aging and temperature after being modified by plasma film.
