Abstract

To reduce the dynamic error of Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG), and improve the accuracy of Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SINS), angular acceleration error of FOG was studied in this paper. The study which was researched angular acceleration error of FOG, started with traditional calibration error model for FOG, used FOG and SINS which were developed by ourselves, and high precision three-axis turntable was as a reference. Angular rate of FOG measurement is very large error in the condition of large angular acceleration, and attitude error of SINS is amplified in a very short time before compensation angular acceleration error. After compensation, FOG's measurement was more exact, and the attitude precision of FOG SINS was improved distinctly, under the large angular acceleration.
