Abstract
Shuttle bus is one of the most important ground access in airport. However, the shuttle bus routes of Pudong International Airport remains unchanged for years and its ridership decreases with the development of metro. This paper aims to provide advice for improvement of shuttle bus service at Pudong International Airport based on passenger characteristics analysis. Data including residence, trip purpose, mode choice, origin and destination, stated preference of passengers was collected through survey. This paper examines the influence factors of passengers’ mode choice, and finds out the crucial problem in shuttle bus service. Finally, this paper proposed some advices for shuttle bus based on the spatial distribution of passengers
