Abstract
Vehicle-mounted high-voltage cables are important electric equipment for electric locomotives. In order to effectively evaluate the thermal aging loss state of the main insulation of the cable, according to the aging principle of the insulation material of the vehicle-mounted cable, the accelerated thermal aging test of the vehicle-mounted cable sample is designed. The cable sample used for the accelerated thermal aging test is made, and then the domain dielectric spectrum is obtained. The test results show that the dielectric loss factor of EPDM insulated cables increases with the decrease of frequency and it is sensitive to aging time and temperature in the low-frequency band (0.01Hz~1Hz). There is a positive correlation function between the aging time and the tanδ integral value. The tanδ integral value increases exponentially with the increase of aging application at the same aging temperature. However, the increase of aging temperature accelerates the process of the tanδ integral value, which increases with the increase of aging time.
