Abstract

The characteristics of flexible network topology, complicated equipment, and variable operation modes bring a lot of inconvenience to the protection and control of the distribution network. High-efficiency adaptive protection and control scheme becomes a new demand for the development of distribution network. In order to meet the demand of adaptive protection and control scheme of distribution network, an algorithm based on network description model is introduce in this article. In this article the description models of distribution network are established at the first step, including network topology model, device configuration model and operation parameters model, which realizes the self-description of distribution network. Further, based on the description model, this article carries out the research on the algorithm for the whole process of protection and control scheme for fault identification, fault removal, fault isolation and network-healing of distribution network. In the last part of the article, a case study is performed to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm. The algorithm put forward in this article helps to meet the self-adaptation to the network topology, device configuration, the operation mode for the protection and control system.
