Abstract
The potential hazard of the leakage magnetic field (LMF) inevitably generated by the wireless charging system is one of the biggest concerns that the general public have towards the wireless charging technology. In this paper, we propose the general design of an active LMF suppression method featuring dual active suppression coils (ASC). By independently regulating the coil currents in both ASCs, the degradation of LMF suppression capability caused by lateral coil misalignment is minimized. The ASC current control strategy is studied, and the LMF synthesis mechanism, the ASC current control method and the conditions for LMF strength minimization under different LMF distribution conditions are analyzed. The effectiveness of the dual ASC active suppression method is verified by finite element analysis and experiments.
