Abstract

An active control technology based on fuzzy control is proposed to solve the problems of intensified vibration and poor current collecting quality after the speed of medium-low speed maglev train is increased. Based on LMS Virtual and MATLAB, the passive control model and active control model of the collector shoe are established. We can draw the following conclusions from comparative analysis: the active control of collector shoe reduces the maximal contact force; it increases the minimal contact force; it reduces the fluctuation of contact force; it relieves vibration and wear between conductor rail and collector shoe; it reduces the percentage of contact losses; it improves current collecting quality of the third rail current collecting system; and it helps to raise the speed of the medium-low speed maglev trains.
