Abstract

In order to alleviate pollution of urban sewage river sediment, planting experiment is conducted to study phytoremediation of Lolium Perenne to heavy metal pollution in the circumstance of adding hydrogen peroxide before planting. Results show that after adding hydrogen peroxide before planting Lolium Perenne in sediment the accumulation number of heavy metal in root is more than the one in shoot. The heavy metal of lead in shoot and root are 127.63 mg/kg and 206.06 mg/kg, and the number of cadmium are 3.01 mg/kg and 2.038 mg/kg The microbes of fungi, bacteria, and actinomycetes in sediment after adding hydrogen peroxide in sediments increase significantly. Change of catalase activities and urease activities in sediment are increase evidently with the growth of Lolium Perenne. The research indicates the action of adding hydrogen peroxide before planting Lolium Perenne is suitable for the decontamination of heavy metal from urban sewage river sediment. Therefore adding hydrogen peroxide in phytoremediation experiment will become an efficient method to solve the problem of contamination of heavy metal in sewage river sediment.
