Abstract

In winter, it is easy to accumulate snow and ice on the road after rain and snow, so effective snow and ice removal equipment is of great importance. To enhance the capability of equipment, a new self-propelled snow and ice removal equipment was developed. The basic structure and working principle of the equipment are introduced with the force on the saw-type rack analyzed. In addition, the crawler-type self-propelled chassis was selected in the light of the working characteristics of the equipment. The power computing of snow and ice removal equipment is of great significance to the efficiency of snow and ice removal. The power was checked through theoretical computing, so that gasoline engines with different power were selected to provide power for equipment moving and snow and ice removal mechanism. Power computing results showed that the new self-propelled snow and ice removal equipment had a unique structural design, and can adopt a cam mechanism to carry out horizontal reciprocating sawing, which had a good work efficiency and practicality for snow and ice removal.
