Abstract

The article proves that values play an extremely important role in the development of the personality of amodern young person, act as the highest degree of regulation of his behavior, express the direction of life interestsand professional needs. Based on sociological data and empirical results of the study, an attempt was made tocomparative analysis of the current state of orientation of student youth to humanistic and professional values.The key values that form the core of students' value self-consciousness and are considered by them as an ideal forimitation and a necessary condition for the effective functioning of a humanistic society are identified.Humanistic and professional values are the highest degree of regulation of the behavior of a professional teacher;determine his inherent attitudes and motivation in the field of professional and pedagogical activities.
