Abstract

In the economic area there are engines which speed up decision-making processes and create a precondition for solving problems related to the imposition of the concept of and economy. As such an engine is considered to be the enterprise. As an economic category, the social enterprise is increasingly becoming a major carrier of environmental and social security, without violating the economic nature and purpose of production, trade and management processes. Social enterprises with their ability to create environmental, social and economic value can be the driving force for the accelerated implementation of the concept of economy, as part of the overall vision for sustainable development, at micro and macro level. The study reviews the emergence of the concepts of development and analysis of the main characteristics of social enterprise, the reasons for its emergence as an economic category, its place among other economic entities, as well as the sources of funding for social enterprise projects in the context of sustainable development. Empirical research answers the main questions and attempts to scientifically prove the thesis that social enterprises can be the driving force for the accelerated implementation of the concept of economy.
