Abstract

The following research focuses on exploring the energy parameters of the most demanded wood biomass pellets on the Bulgarian market. To assess the accuracy and reliability of the information provided on the packaging of wood pellets, a comparative analysis was conducted. The initial step involved conducting experimental tests to determine the energy characteristics of the most demanded brands of waste wood raw materials, as reported by the surveyed customers. These parameters included diameter, calorific value, ash content, and moisture content. By comparing the data obtained from the experiments with the information stated on the packaging, it was observed that all analysed parameters met the requirements outlined in the ENplus quality certificate. Additionally, the results confirmed that the wood pellets belonged to class A1, indicating their high quality and adherence to the specified standards.
