Abstract

The wide application of composite materials in various branches of industry is accompanied by an equally rapid development of technologies and the scientific and technical base for designing products from them. One of the most claimed classes of composites are polymer composite materials for structural purposes — as a rule, in the form textolites and laminates. Research and analysis of the effect of high and low (operational) temperatures on the mechanical properties and mechanisms of destruction of composites is an important task. It is necessary to pay special attention to the establishment of the strength and elastic properties temperature dependences of fiber composite materials, which used in critical structures. An important problem is the diagnosis and control of the temperature and climatic aging polymeric fiber composites at an early stage with the use of additional control systems. The aim of the study was an experimental assessment of temperature aging effects on mechanical behavior, residual strength and stiffness of structural polymeric composite materials.
