Abstract

The telescopic principle of its boom section is investigated using the luffing system of the horizontal lifting boom with telescopic operation as the aim. In order to ensure that the normal lifting and luffing work of the trolley can be ensured when the horizontal boom is telescoped and retracted, the support method of the rope system on the horizontal boom, including the lifting rope system, the luffing rope system, and the telescopic rope system, is studied. The procedure for locating the supporting pulley of the three rope systems is investigated, and the alteration in the length of the three ropes caused by the extension or contraction of the horizontal boom is examined. The boom system's force analysis is conducted, and the force expressions of each force member with the expansion and contraction of the boom are obtained, and the force state diagram of each force member is drawn by MATLAB software.
