Abstract

Development of an ecologically clean oil sludge treatment unit which is mountable onto off-road vehicles is a highlight task nowadays. The team of researchers, which includes the authors of this article, has developed a design that solves the aforementioned problems and has been patented. The software package SIMULIA Abaqus was used for strain-stress state research of the pyrolysis module of the original oil sludge thermal treatment modular unit (TTMU) design. This software package allows to do researches with and without considering the non-linear properties of the material. Without considering the non-linear properties of the design's material SIMULIA Abaqus calculates the strain-stress state of the given group of finite element model, assuming it works in elastic range, while the injection of the material non-linearity parametres into the calculations allows to estimate the strain-stress state of the model in the elasto-plastic range. The results of the unit's bottom strain-stress state analysis individually and of the whole pyrolysis module, considering the non-linear properties of the unit's material as the module of low-temperature pyrolysis works at high temperatures, are introduced in this article. The stress and strain distribution evaluations for various pyrolysis module's body and bottom configurations was performed for different wall thicknesses.
