Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present a new method for product symbol systemic analysis and product symbol innovation. Based on the elements of semiotics and product system theory, the studies analyze the essence and composing of product system and product symbol system, show context, as the most important dependence when product symbol system forms and transfers it's meanings and it is understood and accepted by users, containing operation context, scene context and society context. Based on the values of context, the studies present a new product symbol innovation method that includes society concept innovation, life style innovation and usage method innovation
