Abstract

The article includes the analysis results of the physical and mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced plastics for space rocketry applications in structures. Replacement of the traditional metal materials with structural carbon plastics using the example of Antares LV box-type structures was considered. The experimentally obtained elastic-strength properties of unidirectional carbon plastics based on carbon fibers and epoxide type binder were presented the physical and mechanical properties of carbon plastics with a present reinforcement scheme were predicted the trade-off analysis of the material predicted properties with experimental results was performed
