Abstract

The personalized learning resource recommendation, as one higher level of the requirements for the learning based on resources of people in the Internet age, has been paid more attention by researchers. Some existing researches can provide personalized learning resources services for learners, but few of them considers the learner's needs for learning resources from a cognitive style point of view. However, cognitive styles are the relatively steady attitudes and methods of human during the information using process, the differences of learners in cognitive styles can affect their learning results greatly. Therefore, seeing from psychology perspective, Field Dependence-Independence (FDI), one cognitive style, was introduced in the personalized learning resource recommendation in this paper. Then the recommending process of personalized learning resources based on FDI was discussed. The research shows that the learners can be provided with more personalized learning resources, when considering their FDI in the recommending process.
