Abstract

This paper studied organizational management from the perspective of network structure by the analysis of structural holes. The player who locates in the hub of the network structure possesses structural holes, and can gain advantages and resources by building bridges over other players. The network structure of organization is generalized as two-level network structure. The closed two-level network structure, which ensures the unobstructed communication and reduces the cost of bridging inside the organization, is the aim of organizational management based on structural holes theory. For getting to the aim of two-level closed network structure, the organization should firstly encourage members to establish contacts with others, and managers should be active to contact with ordinary members for harmony communication inside organization. Realizing the common aim of the organization is the premise for all the members gaining benefit. For getting this aim, more bridges should be built to replace structural holes in the network structure of organization.
