Abstract

PURPOSE: This paper was to discuss the mechanism and influence of living hightraining low(HiLo) on the immune according to the mRNA expression level of spontaneous Cytokine, and also analyze the influence of HiLo on the immune function by combining general immune indexes. METHODS: 12 female rowers of Shanghai team which were divided into two groups participated in this research. HiLo group (6 athletes): sleeping in hypoxic room(15.4% O2) 6 days/week, 10-12 hours/day, training and living in the normoxia for 4 weeks. LoLo group (6 athletes): all living and training took place in the normoxia. Before HiLo, the 1st week, 2nd week, 4th week during HiLo and the 1st week, 2nd week after HiLo, we measured the following indexes: 1. Interleukin 4(IL-4) and Interferon-γ(INF-γ) mRNA in Th Cytokine, Perforin (PFR) mRNA; 2.CD4, CD8 and Natural killer (NK); 3.Immunoglobulin (IgG, IgA and IgM); 4.White blood cell, Lymphocyte%, Monocyte% and Neutropenia %. RESULTS: 1.IL-4mRNA appeared to be elevated and were significantly higher than the level before HiLo in two groups (P<0.05); In HiLo group INF-γmRNA and INF-γ/IL-4 significantly decreased from the 1st week to the 4th week during HiLo and then recovered to the base level. PFRmRNA decreased significantly in the 1st week and came back to the base level in the 2nd week in HiLo group, then this level was kept until the 2nd week after HiLo. 2.CD4 and CD4/CD8 appeared to be elevate gradually in HiLo group, and the maximal value was got in the 2nd week, then in was kept until the 4th week (P<0.05).3. From the 1st week during HiLo to the 2nd week after HiLo NK decreased very significantly in HiLo group (P<0.01). NK was lower obviously in HiLo group than in LoLo group in the 2nd and 4th week during HiLo(P<0.05). 4.There was no obvious changing of IgG in the 1st and 2nd week during HiLo in HiLo group and in the 4th week it increased very significantly(P<0.001), then kept until the 1st week after HiLo(P<0.01). IgA significantly increased in the 1st week and kept until the 4th week during HiLo(P<0.01), then in the 1st week after HiLo it recovered to the base value. But it changed unobviously in LoLo group(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: 1.The changing law and extent of different immune indexes were not same in HiLo and LoLo. 2. 4 weeks HiLo made cellular immune function restrained, but didn't influence humoral immune function obviously.
