Abstract

Suppositories have one of the most important role among medical agents due to their effectiveness and broad spectrum of effect. Traditionally, expensive imported oils, such as cocoa butter, coconut butter, and other, serve as the basis for their production, which significantly affects the cost of the resulting product. Therefore, it is no coincidence that scientists have recently paid special attention to the issues of a possible replacement of imported oils with local raw materials. Of the numerous vegetable oils, cottonseed oil is the most acceptable in terms of the composition of fatty acids, because it contains 25-28% hexadecanoic acid, comparable to its content in cocoa butter.
