Abstract

AbstractTo describe a critical chain method based on triangular fuzzy numbers for project scheduling under resource constraints and uncertainty. The method aimed to determine critical chain under resource constraints, and adding a project buffer (PB) to the end of the schedule and feeding Buffers (FB) to the middle of the schedule to deal with uncertainty, in addition, resource buffers (RB) was used as pre-warning mechanism to ensure timely delivery of resources for project activities. Furthermore, the method with specific audit project case was provided as an example, it gave a detailed analysis on how to dynamically update the schedule to provide a more accurate schedule for actual progress. The proposed method is useful and effective for audit project schedule management.
