Abstract

A lines cluster approaching theory (LCAT) is firstly proposed in this paper. Based on the LCAT, a kind of lines cluster approaching mode control (LCAMC) method is proposed for linear time-invariant (LTI) systems, and some related theories are simultaneously given. The proposed LCAMC is composed by a linear item and a nonlinear item, the collaboration of which can guarantee the global asymptotic stability of control system with bounded disturbances. The linear item employs the theory of optimal linear quadratic regulator (LQR), which can optimize the comprehensive performance of control system. Meanwhile, using the theory of variable structure control (VSC), the nonlinear item can further guarantee the robust property of control system. Numerical simulation results present that, the proposed LCAMC schemes ensure good convergence properties and strong robustness against time-varying equivalent disturbances. Moreover, the structure of LCAMC is simple, which can increase its practical value in engineering.
