Abstract
A quick and simple method is presented for the estimation of the total TCDD-equivalents (TE) of seventeen PCDD/F congeners in sewage sludge samples on the basis of the TE of the analysed HpCDD and OCDD congeners only. These estimated TE values agreed well with the TE obtained by the analysis of all the seventeen PCDD/F congeners.
