Abstract

In Differentiated services (Diffserv) network, for the bandwidth broker waste problem of static resources management, a dynamic resource management (DRMA) algorithm was proposed to improve the efficiency of resource management. The algorithm introduced a logical share pool of resources, in order to recovery bandwidth resources that was not full used. The resource reservation request re-used recovery resources, in which the idle resources can be fully utilized. Using NS2 carried out the analysis of algorithm performance. The results of the Diffserv network which using the DRMA show that the packet loss rate has been decreased by 1.4% and the delay has been reduced by 4.86%.The DRMA improves the network data processing capabilities and quality of service (QoS).
