Abstract

In order to improve the fluency and accuracy of college students' oral and written communication in foreign language and reveal the relationship between language features and oral fluency, a series of experiments were undertook based on the purpose of improving college students' foreign language general ability. Using college English and Russia textbook, setting the lexical chunks as the mainline and utilizing computer as assisting method, these experiments focus on repeating and imitating lexical chunks, interactive training lexical chunks under background and real situation, and improving the sensitivity of lexical chunks recognition and awareness of self-studying. The analysis of statistics of these experiments indicates that the methodology based on lexical chunks teaching can effectively improve students' oral ability. Therefore, it has magnificent significance to cultivate students' comprehensive language qualification and compound talents. Also, this approach is worthy for broadening among similar universities and colleges.
