Abstract

To evaluate the effects of evidence-based medicine (EBM) education on critical thinking abilities of medical students.Five steps of evidence-based practice and problem-based learning approaches were integrated into the EBM education.Chinese Version of Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory (CTDI-CV) was used to measure seven components of critical thinking.Each aspect of critical thinking abilities were elevated compared with baseline levels.EBM education may promote subjective initiative,exploration awareness and critical thinking skills of medical students.Cultivation model of critical thinking should be investigated.
