Research and Implementation of a Data Backup and Recovery System for Important Business Areas

Abstract

The maturity of data backup and recovery technology ensures the reliability and availability of the data. But only to ensure that the reliability and availability cannot meet the security needs of data backup in important areas of military, national defense and other important areas. In this paper, we design and implement a security enhanced data backup and recovery system. Using the existing backup and recovery technology, through the authentication based on digital certificate, the security access control based on different roles, process control based on the business model and the audit method based on the operation logs, the system realizes the function to detect the legitimacy of the data to be backed up, operators and the data to be recovered so the system can effectively promote the confidentiality by preventing the operators backing up data to illegal destination and restoring data to illegal target machine.
