Abstract
SUMMARY This article describes the training, skills, and experiences that have been helpful to me in my work as an independent research and evaluation consultant. It describes the classes and formal education, research and program evaluation skills, work-related experiences, and publications, presentations and grant writing experiences. It concludes with a brief description of the work I have done as a consultant and how it has affected my career plans following completion of my dissertation.
