Abstract

The Tritium Process Laboratory (TPL) has been constructed to carry out research and development on tritium processing and tritium safety handling technologies for fusion reactors. Since 1988, many tritium experiments including simulated plasma exhaust gas cleanup, hydrogen isotope separation, tritium accountability, tritium removal and containment, and so on have been carried out using gram level tritium at TPL. The experiments have produced remarkable accomplishments on tritium technology for fusion reactors.
