Research and Development of LED Lighting Systems for Primary Industry(Chugoku Branch, Activating Regional Economy through Light and Lighting by Learning from the Local Pioneers)

Abstract

In recent years, optical output and luminous efficacy of white Light-Emitting-Diode (LED) have rapidly been improved. It makes possible to use white LED for not only general illuminations and also special lighting equipments. In this article, application of LED lighting system for primary industry such as pest management system, crop growth control system, and fish-luring system are introduced.
