Abstract
This paper presents a design and implementation of a sensorless brushless DC motor (BLDCM) control method, which takes a multi-gradient compensation angle to make accurate commutation error compensation based on back EMF (back electromotive force) zero detection control method (terminal voltage pattern). The commutation error is mainly determined by motor speed and hardware parameters. By using this character, the compensation angle gradient can be calculated by the proposed control method. The simulation and experiment results prove its excellent performance in wide speed range with proper load disturbance.
