Abstract

This paper designs an intelligent welding control system based on the need of automatic production of steel mesh. According to the material, specification and layout of steel mesh, the full coordinate position information of steel intersection point can be obtained in real time by collecting electrical parameters and image information of steel mesh welding process. The moving position of the welding head is automatically corrected to ensure the accuracy of the welding position. According to the pressure information obtained by the pressure sensor at the front end of the welding head, the pressure of the welding joint is automatically adjusted. In the welding process, the welding current and voltage are automatically adjusted through the light detection unit to ensure the reliability of the welding joint. Intelligent welding system is composed of hardware and software. Hardware system is composed of pressure sensor, image acquisition unit, data acquisition unit, light detection unit, executing mechanism and industrial control unit. Software is programmed based on Visual Studio platform, which realizes operator login, basic information input, basic parameter setting. Analog signal acquisition and storage, control signal output and welding control functions. Intelligent welding system takes industrial computer as the control core, realizes data acquisition, storage and processing through the combination of software and hardware, gives real-time welding parameters, and controls the actuator to complete efficient and reliable welding of steel mesh.
