Abstract

Aiming at the problems of single technical means and difficult quantitative analysis in the process of insulation defect detection of high voltage switchgear, in this paper, the effects of bubble and crack on the stress distribution of insulation diaphragm under electric field were studied by finite element method. On this basis, an ultrasonic stress detection method for insulation defects of high voltage switchgear was proposed. A detection system in this study was constructed, and the artificial simulated defect samples placed in the high voltage switchgear were also tested. Our study show that the average error of defect size was 0.24mm. The experimental results show that this method can effectively detect and quantitatively analyze the insulation defects in high voltage switchgear, and the detection results have high accuracy.
