Abstract

The previous water shutoff technologies cannot meet the effective separate layer control, long-term dynamic adjustment, fluid production measuring, adjusting and reservoir geological analysis on the parameters of separate layer water cut and pressure in the extremely high water cut period. The intelligent separate layer production technology for producers was developed. The intelligent separate layer production technology included the separate layer monitoring, regulating, controlling technology for producers with the intelligent design of the mechanical and electrical integration. A complete separate layer allocation set of “monitoring, adjustment and control” was integrated to realize the oil production’s adjustment and multi parameters dynamic monitoring. A complete separate layer system is composed of surface control unit, downhole testing instrument and bottom-hole regulator. The testing instrument can be run into the adjustable separate layer regulator in the release string by the cable through the annulus and production parameters such as production, pressure, and water cut per layer can be tested by the surface control unit. Separate layer liquid production can be controlled to achieve the balanced production of each interval. Some separate layer pressure testing problems were solved, such as the long-term effective monitor and control of the “balanced exploitation”, the conventional annular water cut testing technique not being used in the pipe and pressure test of the “layer shutoff and well working”. Separate layer flow measurement range is from 5 to 160 m3/d with test accuracy of 3%; pressure test accuracy of 0.05% and water cut test accuracy of 3%. The technology provided the more accurate data including liquid production, water cut and pressure for the complex reservoir fine geologic analysis in the extra high water cut period, so as to improve the developing degree of the remaining oil.
