Abstract
Voltage sags are ones of the most severe power quality problems in modern industries. It is available to solve the problems from load side where voltage sags endanger critical loads. Serried dynamic voltage regulator (DVR) is an effective way to solve voltage sag problems. In this paper, a low voltage DVR is introduced with its theory, control system and the design of main circuits. The compensation effects of DVR operating on supply voltage in industries are presented and the economic benefit of DVR application is discussed. (5 pages)
