Abstract

With the wide application of antibiotics, Acinetobacter baumannii infection has increased gradually. The clinical isolating rates of multidrug resistant (MDR) , extensive-drug resistant (XDR) and even pan-drug resistant (PDR) A. baumannii increase significantly. A. baumannii has become an important opportunistic pathogen in the nosocomial setting. The article reviews the resistance mechanism and therapeutic options of the extensive-drug resistant A.
