Abstract

Background Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury leads to renal and extrarenal organs injury,and even multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).The lung,as an organ with large microcapillary network,is highly susceptible to injury caused by renal I/R.Objective To review and summarize the mechanism of lung injury induced by renal I/R and the research development of pulmonary protection.Content This article reviews the cellular basic construction and the mechanism of lung injury induced by renal I/R injury,and the latest methods of pulmonary protection.Trend It is necessary to exploring the pathophysiological process and protective methods of lung injury by renal I/R to reduce the mortality.
