Abstract

Cronicas travestis. El periodismo transgresor de Alfonsina Storni, Clarice Lispector y Maria Moreno, written by Mariela Mendez (University of Richmond), was published on August 2017, under Beatriz Viterbo Editora. The author presents a detailed research of the journalistic facets of Alfonsina Storni (1892-1938), Clarice Lispector (1920-1977) and Maria Moreno (1947-), in which she argues that these writers represent alternative ways of settling in the press of their particular contexts. Mendez carries out an exhaustive study of the chronicle of the three writers at three different historical-political moments, where the spaces created by them “subvierten la ideologia dominante heteronormativa, la travestizan, instalando un desvio queer que en mayor o menor medida se concreta, se visibiliza en representaciones alternativas al binarismo” (17). In this sense, the author considers that these writings correspond to hybrid texts that are transformed and in which the chroniclers transvest, and destabilize binary categories that the so-called feminine press supposes operates
