Abstract
The possibility of the potential as well as the safety of an optical fibre delivery system for laser medical applications is reviewed. Fibre directional couplers and connectors are suggested to be developed in view of this power laser application. Finally a special fibre probe radiating a corolla shaped beam for laser angioplasty is briefly described.
