Abstract

In the course of the European Intercomparison Programme 1990 in radiodiagnostic dosimetry, data from more than 180 diagnostic dosemeters contributed by participants from 18 European countries were evaluated. On the basis of this data and PTB requirements, new requirements for dosemeters used in diagnostic radiology have been laid down which may serve as a basis for a new work item proposal for international standardisation. The most important items in these requirements on diagnostic dosemeters are presented.
