Abstract

Advances in ILP techniques enable strict consistencymodels to relax memory order through speculative execution ofmemory operations. However, ordering constraints still hinderthe performance because speculatively executed operationscannot be committed out of program order for the possibility ofmis-speculation. In this paper, we propose a new technique whichallows memory operations to be non-speculatively committed outof order without violating consistency constraints.
