Abstract

AbstractIt is shown that the difference between the experimental capture cross section and the impulse approximation strongly depends on the hard core of the NN interaction. Use of hard core wave functions is not sufficient to explain quantitatively the experimental result. The exchange potential itself has to be modified for small nucleon distances.
